Why a postal club for kids?
I’m Lauren, mom of two grown boys, wife of thirty years, and living proof that a house full of creativity eventually grows up and gets jobs in art, music, and gaming. I’ve always been a maker—crafting, tinkering, dreaming things up—and I’ve never stopped wondering what really grabs kids’ attention, fuels their imagination, and actually makes learning fun.
That curiosity has propelled me to start a monthly, screen-free mail club for kids ages 8–12 (approx). Every envelope is packed with stories, puzzles, hands-on activities, creative prompts, plus the things kids love most—stickers, comics, and other surprises. It all arrives by good old-fashioned snail mail, which kids now treat like a minor miracle in their otherwise digital lives.
The whole experience revolves around a small cast of quirky pet characters—two cats and a dog—who run the show, while the human family stays mostly in the background (as it should be). Drawn in by story and spurred on by imagination, fun and learning go hand-in-hand.
I created Ink's Mail Club because I believe that kids today crave something tactile, playful, and entirely theirs—something they can hold, cut up, doodle on, and look forward to every month. No screens. No swiping. Just imagination showing up in the mailbox.
